Business Hackathon: Building a Business Idea in 3 Hours

Come learn to Think like an Entrepreneur! Successful businesses are built on solving real problems for real people, not on having a clever idea. In this workshop, teens work through a structured process: they identify a real problem they could help solve, determine how they’d actually solve it themselves, and turn that into a pitch for a business they could genuinely start. By the end, they’ll have a clear, testable idea they could take further, or use to learn what doesn’t work before investing real time and money.

Whole Child. Whole Family. A Whole Lot of Theme-Based Fun!

Discover how theme-based learning can bring your entire homeschool family together. Early Starters, for children aged 4–8, and Junior Saints, for children aged 9–11, follow the same theme each term, allowing children of different ages to explore one shared world while learning at their own developmental level. Each theme unfolds through eight weeks of connected, narrative-based learning and culminates in an exciting Project Week.

We will demonstrate how stories, purposeful play, practical challenges and hands-on discovery connect learning areas while developing critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills and deep understanding. See how one rich theme can transform separate lessons for separate ages into a brain-friendly, joyful learning adventure for the whole family.

Under the Sea! Be an Underwater Photographer and Filmmaker

Louis Pieterse (Africa Media Academy)

This 45-minute workshop will show how to assemble the underwater media gear in a live setting with a tank of water, photos and video will be taken and then shown on a screen. The participant can then also assemble and shoot underwater. This session will be hands-on, practical and a Q&A which focuses on career opportunities in this field.
